Does your user account in windows xp have administrator privilegies? do you run any kind of protective "anti malware" or antivirus program that could interfere with the installation? (just guessing here)

Yeah I am a "system administrator". Don't know if antivirus would stop it, it seems to be a problem with the way it is trying to move files around?

It was adding the +restart to the command line...
I initially had + restart (= BAD!)

So then what worked...I have tried "D:\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\FH2.exe" +restart and "D:\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\FH2.exe" + restart

I also do not have a "run as admin option" I am the Admin.

not possible. I also used a cracked backup and it runs fine for me.

I also run Vista and was having the same problem. I followed your advice and lo and behold, it works! It's amazing how many of Vista's problems can be solved by running as administrator.

FH2 Screw up
 

Hey guys. I D/loaded FH2 last night. Installed fine but when i try run fh2.exe i get a screen telling me to run fh2.exe and not bf2.exe. This doesnt make any sense cause i am trying to run fh2.exe. Anyone else get this problem? Do the mod makers view these boards to offer help? Thanks.

This is the place of the FH2.exe

...\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\FH2.exe

Make a shortcut and run

(The installer creates one automatically at your desktop, I don't know why you don't get it, did you erased it?
