Online Punkbuster Probs Help!

Try this

Quote: * Download the latest version of PBSVC from:

* Disable your security software (virusscanners for example) temporarily (disconnect your computer from the internet if you feel this is unsafe).
* Make sure you don't play through a network share.
* Run PBSVC and press the "Test Services" button. This will test all components of the Punkbuster Services, including a trigger to start PnkBstrB.
* Check if PnkBstrB.exe is now available in the "C:\Windows\system32\" folder.
* Enable your security software again if closed and add PnkBstrB to the allow list (described above).
* Make sure you have rebooted your computer.
* Copy-paste the "Test Services" output from PBSVC in a new note if things are not working correctly and explain further what you have tried additionally

Okay this is weird. I joined a different server other than WOLF and I didn't experience the problem. Could it be something they haven't updated?

I tried disabling AVG Antivirus, Windows Firewall, and Windows Defender. Windows frewall had a permission for PnkBstrB.exe both in Windows/System32 and BF1942/pb. The same for PnkBstrK.sys in Windows/system32/drivers and BF1942/pb.
Obviously firewall has a permission for PnkBstrA.exe too.

With all security probgrams disabled, closing all the unnecessary services and processes running, still I got kicked for Service abnormality. The only server I could join is when Alberto Magnus starts an internet coop.

Having Vista, I tried to put compatibility on PnkBstrA and B for Win 98, then XP, as administrator, but still nothing.
That last pb update, including those damned services, has completely ruined my gameplay.
And still no answer from Evenbalance to my ticket

I have vista and I followed the information above and that issue is fixed. Now every time I join a multiplayer server. I get kicked and it says something like Abnormal System... does anyone have any ideas?
