Well considering 98 compatibility is a old platform my only guess would be that you have to play in 2000 or XP, sorry.

But u CANT! I rly want some help with my god punkbuster~! I also found this- When I start the game and get kicked I sometimes get to start and c what it is says about PB and before I get kicked it says PnkBstrB installed and loaded succefully and then I get kicked... I hope that helps.....

Try uninstalling and PnkbsterA&B using this one program Evenbalance offers, I had it before I just cant find it.

punkbuster kick is common, and you have to be very careful to follow the instructions about preparation and loading. I had the problem for 6 mos., and never fixed it - Finally cured with new dl on a clean, new computer. You know, Single Player is not all that bad. Sorry I'm no more help.

I'm having this same problem. I just got a new computer about a week ago with Vista. I'll try switching compatibility to XP.

Okay that didn't work either. Halfway through loading the map the game crashes. I also tried setting it to Windows 2000 and the same thing happened. Setting it to Windows 95 will get you to the "Server Abnormality" kick again.
