It's very easy, to dive you putch "back (down?) arrow" and to come on see's surface you putch "up" arrow. But attention! There is a time's inertial to make a realism effect of inertial (sorry for my english words, it's difficult to find exactly the right terms!....Excuse me for that but generally Frenchies are not good in foreign languages!

Whenever I join a server while running FH in compatibility mode, I get kicked from servers running Punkbuster. Does anyone have an explanation?

As you can see on the topic:

At this time and unfortunaly nobody in this World can play FH1 for Bf1942 on servers which are using Punkbuster last version ( On Vista OS, I say, of course)!

Many comrades are working also to try a solution, but at this time we cannot find the right (good) solution

But you can play FH1 on servers with NO PUNKBUSTER (on servers which are not using Punkbuster or on servers wich are running with an old Punkbuster's version).
But unfortunaly there are not enough gamers on these servers!

Sorry, it's the only thing I can say at this time!

But we are always working on this curious problem but we hope to find a solution on the future!

Yes these mods (Forgotten Hope; FHSW = Forgotten Hope Secret Weapons; FHt Mod = Forgotten Hope tournament Mod; Norwegian resistance) need to run on Vista :

Compatibility: "Windows98; Me" "execute like administrator" or deactive UAC on VISTA .I DO say on VISTA only, of course!

Battlefield Vanilla and its mods (desert combat; Battlegroup42 ; EOD; Finnwars) run fine on servers with punkbuster because we choose:

Compatibility: "WindowsXP SP2" or "No compatibility" "execute like administrator" or deactive UAC on VISTA.

About "FH;FHSW;FHt; Norwegian resistance" we can play without problem on servers on non_PB or on servers with an old version of Punkbuster.
All run fine in these condition.

I DO (insistance forme) say : "FH; FHSW; FHt; Norwegian resistance" DO need "windows 98; me" for compatibility on VISTA.

Or I think this compatibility mod is no compatible with Punkbuster's New version!

1.If you meet this problem go to Punkbuster support please cause since the last Punkbuster's update nobody in the World can play FH;FHSW;FHt;Norwegian's resistance (all these mods are using FH 0.7 ).

3. Since this time we don't get other answer (response) from Punkbuster!

4. I wrotte also to LOBO, a master developper of FH1 (but now he works with his comrades on FH2).

5. EA is no concerned by (about?) this problem cause EA is not FH1's creator of course!

6. If nothing is made to try solving ( to try to solve?) this problem, I think FH1 will be doomed (condamned) in the future, cause after end of June 2008, in plenty of lands it will be no possible to buy Windows XP in legal market. And I say again: plenty gamers are buying their PC mounted with Vista OS now .

7. I say for all people want to play FH1 on Vista: "Create a support ticket on Punkbuster's support". Cause maybe if Punkbuster's support get plenty of messages they will do something about this problem.

Hi, i've got Vista too, and i want to play FH too also.

i have 0.7 installed and i have put the BF1942 exe on 98/me compatibility mode. i do have it on run as admin, coz otherwise it won't start.

now, i start FH using its own shortcut, and when i try to load a map, at the beginning of the loading page, it quits. i found out it is because i had it running on the 98/me compatibility mode, but when i run it on XP 2 compat. mode it quits at the end of the load screen.
any suggestions?


off topic: does anyone know in which mappack the Rheinuebung map is?
