machine gun colors messed up in my .65

Whenever a machine gun is fired or from a vehicle/plane it is either red or purple. And I'm quite sure thats not right

Colored tracers. That's how it was back then.
Russians usually had green for example, and japs usually had magenta colored tracers for their MGs.
