| Well, I'm enjoying the game, despite a few minor niggles that bother me about it. Not any bugs, just some things that are somewhat annoying, but not enough to rubbish the game imo. Little things like; - "left handed" weapons - Apparently bizarre restriction of what weapons are primary, secondary and special slot weapons. Any others people can think of, feel free to add them. |

| I feel now their is a lot of things to be fixed and added. I can't believe they haven't released a patch for online play yet as after each and every game the server ends. This is how terrible the developers are!

| Well, since this is a minor niggles thread, it probably won't hurt to add to it a bit with a few things that bother me some, but always forget to mention. Map Well there's a few things about it that really bug me, but yet aren't deal breakers. It never stays on the same page for starters. It should remember the last res you had it set to. Second, it's positioned very well when you have it out while driving land vehicles, even good enough to drive pretty fast. In the fan boat however it needs to be positioned lower to see where you're going, and there's plenty room to lower it. There should be an option to toggle auto res switching of the map. It always switches res when coming close to a town and lots of times I don't want it to if I'm just blowing past the town in a boat or whatnot. This is one of THE most bothersome map nuisances for me. You can have the map out while driving and it will automatically be put away when you exit the vehicle. It is not however put away while exiting if you got in the vehicle while having the map out. I don't know how many times those unexpected drive bys resulted in me hopping out of a vehicle with map in hand getting pummeled. It's common if I'm in a vehicle that doesn't have a mounted MG, or it's mounted gun is the mortar cannon, which of course will blow you up if you shoot at a raiding Jeep that's too close. It would be OK though if you could quick switch things other than the map while in a vehicle. For weapons you'd just see a momentary flash of the weapon you selected like when reloading. This nuisance makes diamond exploring a pain. Accessibility The terrain, though beautiful, has too many steep areas at riverbanks and the foot of mountains, and invisible walls that limit your routes too much. There's also one spot in a corner of the map on the way to a bus stop that has an extremely narrow stretch of water with rocks in it that bugs the heck out of me. It wouldn't be so bad if once you got the fan boat stuck there you could push it until it's past that spot, but you can only push it so far, then it sits in a spot where you can get in the boat but it won't drive out. I do however like that they made the game realistic in the sense that every terrain feature and even jumping into boats must be done properly though. The medium size boat does bug me a lot though because you can't enter it from the water, just a dock or equivalent structure. It's one of the least usable vehicles in the game because of it. Purchasing The gun shop catalog is WAY too vague. Some of the vehicles aren't described very well, nor are the repair upgrades. I've bought some repair upgrades for guns, wasted one on a vehicle that was inappropriately described, and I still don't know what exactly a weapon or vehicle repair upgrade does. It seemed to me the only thing it really changed was that I could repair the gun slightly faster. It appears to wear out just as fast though. I would also like to see a shooting range next to the armory where you could sample a gun before buying it. OK, that's it for my minor nit picks. Like I said none of these are deal breakers, but some get a bit annoying at times.

| They haven't released a patch a week after the game came out, oh these devs are terrible aren't they, Devs who've been working on the game for 3 and a half years and spent the last 3 months looking for bugs are terrible devs aren't they? They've shown much more care to the game than most designers, that comment was totally out of order.

| This should've been fixed while they were in the stages of testing. Simple.

| I'm about 73% into the game now and it's really getting to be tedious, despite my being lucky enough to have had only two bugs, one of which was worked around, the other which corrected itself with a save reload. What start out as minor niggles end up being quite annoying, esp when you know some of them will likely never be changed, like the limited route options due to terrain that isn't negotiable and/or invisible walls. The more the game goes on the more repetitive it feels, with many missions feeling non nonsensical. One strange thing I repeatedly notice is that your buddy will be in an inconvenient location to get to when he calls for your assistance at phase 2 of helping him, yet when you get there after lots of that annoying terrain negotiating I mentioned earlier, it's a firefight whimpier than a guard station has to offer. Once when I got there and I couldn't even get off a shot and it was already over. As for Ubi's support for the game, take a look at the Ubi Far Cry 2 forum and note the many quickly closed threads, comments about deleted posts, and numerous questions unanswered. It's obvious the response to this game has been less than stellar if you look at what actual paying customers are saying vs the glowing reviews on review sites. Many of the actions of the Ubi Far Cry 2 forum staff are very draconian. They will often stomp on something said with no explanation whatsoever, then lie about a comment made regarding it, then close any thread pertaining to it. And these actions are being taken often times regarding people that are just upset they're experiencing a game stopping bug. It's not like all these comments being stomped on are over exaggerated whining about someone's personal perception of the gameplay. They seem to let that go on. What's disturbing is the things being censored are often the things that would appear to influence someone's decision on buying the game, like game stopping bugs. This is not exactly a sign of healthy forum activity or game support. Furthermore it tends to make it look like they aren't the least bit interested in constructive criticism, which is necessary for good support.

| Here are my niggles: -Weapons are made of cheese and tape and break down too quickly. -Checkpoints are staffed by ghosts who reappear after you kill them -Missions are painfully pointless -Weapon slots make no sense -Soldiers have telepathy and know when someone a mile away has seen you |

| Inability to go prone. I wish you could shoot out tires of vehicles (as featured in the Crysis games). I was surprised that you couldn't choose to play as a female character. Quote:

| I actually wouldn't mind that if it were the case. Kind of like how in Metal Gear you can take out a guard before they use their radio, then you're in the clear. If they refined the stealth system, I wouldn't mind all my other issues with the game. Sometimes stealth works perfectly, and other times its like there's a giant neon sign above your head. |
