New Alienware computer, bad framerate... WTF!?

Sounds like you have a overheating/cooling issue.

Nah its not that, once fear starts getting a bad framerate, i'll quit the game then instantly restart it and it'll be fine for the next few minutes again

Sounds to me that you are another Vista victim. Vista and old(er) games just don`t like each other. Maybe you should "upgrade" to XP?

What do you think a heating cooling issue is ?

You run something, the system heats up beyond the cooling measures. You shut down, it cools down enough to start back up. You start back up it takes a few min to heat up again.

Hence the reason why it sounds like a heat/cool issue.
