| Memory could not be read .... Sounds like, possible hardware issue. Naming, your memory. In most cases when this happens, you have to update your drivers. Update your vid card drivers and then open your pc to make sure the memory is installed correctly. Pushed all the way in flush against the mother board.

| FEAR is 1.08 now and if you have changed the default instalation , then that would be why it didn't find the path. I wasn't refering to your video card, i was referring to your computers RAM in that one statement. You need to make sure the ram is fine. Find a proggy called memtest86 and test the memory.

| 512 MB Ram isn't a lot of RAM, but the game shouldn't crash to the desktop with that error. Try the following things: 1. Install the latest v1.08 Patch for FEAR. 2. Download the program 'FreeRAM XP Pro v1.52' from here: YourWare Solutions: Quality freeware and home of FreeRAM XP Pro Install it and RUN the program to clean the RAM. Maybe there is some bad written data left behind in your memory and thus FEAR gives an error and this program (maybe) cleans it! 3. Install latest drivers for your video card, use this link to download them: Intel(R) Graphics Support - Home Page and choose the right Chipset from your motherboard and follow the rest! 4. You must do all the methods above, because it is making everything stable (newest drivers, clean RAM etc...), but if you still get the error, then open up your Computer Case and push the RAM DIMM module(s) better into the motherboard. Maybe you should first remove them and place them again to make sure they are installed correctly. I don't think this is the problem, bacause if your RAM is not good installed, then your computer shouldn't start normal. If it all still occurs, then your RAM module(s) is/are damaged and you must buy a new one. If that's the case, make sure you buy 1GB or higher and buy the good type (DDR or DDR2 and check the Mhz on the modules) I hope you have something about this information and can play FEAR again! Good Luck |

| i ran F.E.A.R. decently on med with aa and vsync on at around 50 fps with an intel integrated card 1 gig of ram and an intel pentium d 2.8 ghz.. it should work. this happened to me as well. but mine only crashed in 1 spot.. right on interval 1 when you go up the ladder and you can hear the helicopter.. i jumped into the ladder are and ran back quick. it worked after that but yeah. thats just my story
