Ive been having this weird problem. Ive had fear working fine before, but after i put together my new setup shown below, ive been having problems, when i played everything was fine but when i tried to close the game, the desktop would partially show and some of the image of fear would still be showing, then my monitor would start slowly flickering on and off. then i updated fear from 1 to 1.05, this problem seemed to dissapear but then i tried to load my save files and this screen came up and fear crashed (http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h3.../fearerror.jpg) after that i started fear back up and a new game, worked for about 30 seconds then it froze and i had the screen flickering problem and had to restart. then i tried one more time and it worked a little longer til i tried to quicksave, it froze again and i had to restart. anyone spare a guess at what this is?

Possibly...the min. system requirements is 512 ram, so maybe that is the reason youre having the crashes....try it out because all your other specs seem fine.
i can't seeing it being the memory because it's fast ram pc3200 ddr400 RAM which is 1 gig thats more then enough and the specs on the machine is right my pc is the same no problems what so ever i think it's the invidia 7900 which needs at least 400 watts power supply maybe the windows needs direct X lastest updates, maybe the windows aint installed properly maybe a wire might be losse in the machine on the grahpics card 12 volt coneters ??? check everything otherwise thing might get <damaged>
Ooops, i only saw one of your 1X512 simpletech and i thought you only had 512mb of RAM...my bad...anyways, try updating all your drivers and hopefully that works.
I have a 7900 too, and have been having the same prblems, maybe something to do with the 7900 is the problem. I have tried everything and nothing worked so I am guessing it has something to do with the 7900.
maybe it's the 7900 series chipsets ive heard people having problems with such cards my advice get the ati radeon 9800 maybe the nvidia 6600gt and nvidia 6200 any other cheaper version and see what happens
