Fear start

I originally bought FEAR to play it on my awsome desktop pc, and everything was cool for the first few weeks..untill one day the motherboard got fried. So untill the repairs are done I am stuck with my laptop, which is not so high-end. I could not bare the suspense so I installed FEAR into my laptop and started to play, and of course the performance was set to low. The game runs fine for the initial part and then crashes.. This is in the very first mission, after getting knocked out by Fettel I am told to regroup, and no matter how many times I try, every time I pass through the door of the roof entrance the game crashes to the desktop screen. I tried adjusting the performance and even re-installing but the problem still persists. My graphics level is set to low and Pc is set to medium.

Most likely, your laptop simply can not handle the game. Most laptops weren't meant for gaming (save for AlienWare, FragBox, etc)

my opinion the graphics on the onboard aint takeing the textures you need at least a ati 200m with (128mb) with hyper memory version works best and radeon 9700mobile and <x> series versions laptops aint really meant for games if you have a heatpad then it might be little okey but with laptops there's very small space to breath you might be damageing your laptop i think you have a intel version 950 maybe the 900 ?

To true, or because its so small and densed it could be overheating.
