Moving into FEAR Hello, you may know me from the halo forums here if you have stepped through the door into that forum... I have been playing the FEAR demo for about a week, and I am thinking about buying this game... I would like to know all the pros and cons about this game Animations, effects, detail, Moddability, equipment needed to use every single effect on maximum with high performance as well... ext... |
Re: Moving into FEAR Well right now it's not "modable" because they have yet to release the SDK. |
Re: Moving into FEAR Well, first off, you need a pretty stout rig to get the higher settings. I have a 3.0 Ghtz P4, 2 GB Ram, and a Leadtek 6800 GT. It runs very well with that set up and looks absolutely beautiful! The effects are great even though they are definately over the top in terms of realism, they really work for this game. The demo is definitely a good judge for the actual game, but the full game is still way better. Really, at this point, the only problem I have with the game is that the SP portion is WAY too short and the MP doesn't really add THAT much more. I hope they pull a Brothers in Arms and come out with an expansion and/or sequel right way! Other than that; animations are great, physics are well done and are better than HL2 IMO; the details are top notch (the level designers, etc really did a good job with this), and modablility is as stated above. HOPE THAT HELPS! |
Re: Moving into FEAR OSU....hehe...It depends on settings...I'm running 1.5 G rated at 1.8, with 1.5 g Ram, GeForce Ti4200 card with 128mb, MSI Mobo K7T turbo 2 and running the game on medium to high settings...( with about 37 processes running in the background as well...) Not one problem so far... no lag in game play. Of course, if you want to play MP online, then that's a different story...you would need a higher end system. One thing I like about this game is that the game will check your comp for the optimum settings...then you can adjust them to your liking....:smokin: |
