Hi, kinda new to the filefront forums for jk3, but I've been playing the game for years; I've been looking for a Special Forces type parachute mod for my jetpack since I first saw jk3files, but never though to ask someone to do a project about it. The only thing I ever saw that came close was a jetpack mod in the Omaha Beach conversion and map pack (included realistic weapons and vehicles too :aug2: ) What I'm looking for is a parachute that looks sufficiently 'Covert Ops' (I'm into modern type mods for jk3, I have guns too :D ) To be honest, I'd like either something like a 'stealth wing' <img src="http://ccn1.net/POTD8/stealth-wing-composite-parachute.jpg" border="0" alt="" />Shown in the above image. Here is another one (front side)<br />

Either that or something similar to a 'normal parachute' (as in the more rectangular ones, even those most you see in movies are round and white). If doing a normal parachute, if it could be shaped like a smooshed triangle and preferably either jet black or mottled green shades of camo.<br />

Remember also to take out the original sounds (and possibly add your own? o.O)<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div>Ok, I've just about had it with gmax. A while back it was great for me...free, ran fine on crappy hardware, and could make mods for JK2 and JK3. But on my new PC, I have to run gmax in compatibility mode with Windows 95 else it locks up instantly. Downside to that is that all the menus (file, edit, etc.) all disappear momentarily when I click on them, forcing me to figure out undocumented keyboard shortcuts (which I have, but it's kind of annoying).<br />
<br />
The final straw for me, though, is the MD3 exporter. Right now it's the only way I've got for making MD3's, but the real pain is that half the time gmax will<u> more than double</u> the amount of vertices and faces when I export to MD3! And <i>now </i>it seems to be doing it EVERY time...I know it's not something with my model because if I just import a normal JK2/JK3 MD3 and then export it directly, more vertices and faces are still magically added to the file :uhoh:<br />
<br />
So my question is...what are some alternatives? Are there other gmax plugins that would solve my problem? An update? 3DS Max 9 plugins? 3DS Max 9 plugins would be great, but thus far I cannot find an exporter...MD3 importer: no problem. MD3 exporter: can't find one to save my life. Maybe a .3ds to .md3 converter?<br />

Before you tell me to read the Master Sticky or 'just google it', know that <b>I already have. </b>So...any ideas?</div>
