So, I purchased a new system back in March, and have been playing Armada II on it every now and then, occasionally with modifications such as FleetOps. When I play with the standard modification though, or the stock install (with the patch), the screen is stretched.

I am using a 1680x1050 screen resolution (which obviously isn't supported by stock). Is there a way around this? Even if I have two black borders either side of the game window, I'm happy to live with that, just this stretching is annoying me a bit.

I can't install (modify, repair, remove) or uninstall this program. I have a modded copy of A2on XP with MU 2.0 and another modded copy of A2 on XP that I don't think has MU 2.0 in it. I also have another modded copy of A2 on a Vista machine that doesn't have MU 2.0. On the Vista machine I did unzip the contents and install MU 2.0 to a blank folder so I could look and play around with all the settings but didn't put it in the actual game.

I can't do anything further with MU 2.0. It won't reinstall or unistall. I've tried admin account, and regular user account. I tried through the control panel using add/remove programs as well. I've tried in safe mode and regular mode nothing I do will get this off of my computer. All I get is "1628: Failed to complete installation."

I even reinstalled A2 stock with just the A2 patch on my XP computer thinking it would see a new copy that could be modded but it still won't work. The unwise uninstaller that came with MU 2.0 seemed to work it said it removed the contents of MU 2.0 but the program still appears in add/remove programs. Any ideas?

What I want to accomplish is install MU 2.0 in it's own folder so I can look through it and apply things manually since MAP's BI: VR will overwrite planets and such with his mod and the MU 2.0 mod has to be installed first.

So I started the thread in the modding section about trasfering files from XP to a Vista install, but now it won't play in Vista. The splash screen comes up then a message says "Sorry, there is not enough memory to continue. Please make sure that you have at least 50mb free on your hard drive and that virtual memory is not disabled."

I couldn't burn the entire directory to disk so I just burned the odf, textures, sod, techtree, aip, and sprite files to disk. I installed A2 on Vista, then it's patch, then the Borg Incursion VR mod and it's patches then I just copied the files from the burn disk and put them in the A2 directory in Vista. I've read that this happens when there is a " not closing another but since I copied over my files I don't see how this could be it since it played just fine in XP. Any ideas??

I've been trying to get the fleets in my mod to fire at ships a little more intellegently.

I know the attack power & intrinsic value lines work, but I would like to know if one is better (more effective) than the other, or some combination of the two, such as one value being greater than the other, has any difference.
