Hey everybody. I'm not new to the mod playing scene, but I haven't even come near being part of the mod MAKING scene, so please be patient with me. I have 2 specific questions I was hoping someone could answer for me.

1: I love the old BF1 maps, but I hate the custom sides. I just do. I'm a vanilla kind of guy when it comes to characters. And there are plenty of other maps I like but if they have custom characters I often quickly lose interest and go back to the familiar. Just the way I am for whatever reason. I have no problem adding foreign maps to Battlefront, but when I start getting foreign characters, for whatever reason it just takes me right out of the feel of the game. I dunno why.

My question is, can a map I downloaded be altered in such a way to eliminate (or even just turn off) custom sides and restore the characters in the map to vanilla, stock characters? Mainly I'd like to do this with the BF1 maps. I love the conversion pack, which brings the classic maps into BF2. But I hate the extra characters that come with it. I wish there was a way to separate them so I can have one without the other. For example in the Dune Sea assault, it comes with the stock characters, PLUS several unnamed new Jedi. Is there any way to remove the extra characters that are not part of the stock BF2 character roster?

2: I have to keep a handwritten list nearby when I load a game of BF2 because I have a lot of maps in my addon folder, and many of them don't have a description in the map selection screen in-game. Is there some way I can go into a specific addon map and alter something so that I can write a description that will show up when I want to pick that level in the game?

EDIT: BONUS QUESTION! Lol, can Leia's special shield power-up be turned off somehow? Damn if that doesn't make Tantive IV assault hard for the villains to win! :D

Thanks so much for any help. I realize that there's a help sticky, but it links to a download. That's fine, but when I try to open the supplied word document, an error comes up that won't display the pictures in the document and therefore won't open at all. So I guess I need someone to address these questions if they can.

Thanks again and sorry for being a noob.

Hello guys !

I am currently making a mod for battlefront II that will allow players to play with the classes of the upcoming game SW: The Old Republic.

So far, I'm in luck with modding the classes. I managed to create two in each side, and they all seem very balanced.

Unfortunately, I'm getting tired of using the good ol' flat field as a map, and since my mapping skills are very low with Zero Editor (nor do I have the time to learn it), I have a few questions for you :

- Is someone ready to provide me with his source files for his map, so that I can my sides in it ? Of course, I will give that person the proper credit, but I will also provide him with all of the classes assets I've used.

- If the first idea isn't good, can someone walk me through adding the units to a shipped map ? So far I had no luck with that, editing the LUA script didn't work well as I couldn't select my map in game (I couldn't add it to the map list right before launching it).

Thanks in advance !
