Cells not listed

this is probably very easy to fix, but i cant figure it out. i just downloaded the construction set and im looking at lesson 1 of the beginners guide and it says that in the cells window there should be a list of all the cells in the game, but nothing is there. its not loading any of the files, i think, because starting it up takes just a few seconds when it should probably take longer. there is nothing that i can find about this in the wiki.
