Oblivion, Vista & The Plugins I wanted to ask the community to inform me (and by association the community) if anyone knows a way to install the plugins for Oblivion under the Vista 32bit OS? I have contacted Bethesda and they said they do not have Vista compatible plugins for Oblivion and I suspect what they will do is create new ones then charge the fee again or never create any. I do know that if you install Oblivion and all its plugins and the Shivering Isles expansion under XP then upgrade to Vista then it works just fine, however if it’s an installation directly from Vista only the main game and Shivering Isles will install, maybe Knights of the Nine if you have it on DVD/CD but from a download it won’t work. So, if anyone knows how to do this, please share I am sure I am not the only individual with this issue. Thank you. |
I just wanted to reply to my own post. I bought the Knights of the Nine CD and was able to install not only the KOTN but all the current plugins as well (since the CD comes wth all the plugins). Seems that whatever protection exist on the downloadable plugins does not exist on the CDROM. I hope this helps all those that had the same issue I did. Not even Bethesda could stir me in the right direction. Good gaming. |
Bah... Vista... Sorry, I'm a Mac fan :p |
