Unhappy AI path for Creatures?

Hey all, need some help with AI paths in my new mod.
I've never done pathing in mods, so this is all new to me.

All I want is for a certain creature (non-hostile to player) at a certain time of the day, to move from his starting location, to a location only a few feet away, stand there for a few moments (1 ingame hour) and then walk back to his original starting location.

I've absolutely no idea how to accomplish this, I have read the construction set wiki's "Pathing and Playtesting" page, that has not helped.

Can anyone explain how to do this in a simple step-by-step guide?
