Creating a new Weather Type Okay, I have a pretty basic understanding of the Construction Set, but I've run into a problem. Basically, I am trying to make a single new weather type to be used as often as clear days, cloudy days, and etc. The problem is that the way the game decides to run which weather type (I *think*) is with Climates, which allow you to insert a number of different weather types along with user-set probabilities that all add up to 100%. The current, default climate contains the following probabilities: 25 25 25 10 5 5 5 Obviously, the sum of those is 100. Here is where I run into the problem. See, I need to put my new weather type into this climate file, I believe. To do this, I need to decrease each percentage by a certain amount after adding my custom weather, so that all the types, including my own, have a sum of 100%. Now, I'm not saying that I can't do the math in order to do this. The big predicament is that here, the percentages apparently have to be a NON-DECIMAL number. In order to keep the ratio the same, a number of the default numbers must be changed to decimal numbers to compensate for the additional weather type. Of course, as I just reported, it does not seem that this is possible. True, by adding a certain number of weather types, the ratio would remain the same...but eventually those fives would need to drop below one (0.5, 0.005, etc.) to still maintain the percentage ratio. Does anyone see my problem? |
Why not try just getting rid of one of the weather types, and replacing it with your weather, copying the value of the removed weather option. |
