Those ubercool floodlights under the cars... So, what about them? Those coloured lights under the cars in the F&F films are the main reason I like the films :P. But does anyone know how to get them in real life? Are they easy to find, and do they look any good on regular cars? And just how expensive are they? |
Aren't they just like 4 strip lights or something put underneath ? |
Re: Those ubercool floodlights under the cars... I'd think a strip light would short out all the time what with wet roads and stuff... (wb by the way Mex :)) |
Re: Those ubercool floodlights under the cars... the lights are heaps cool makes the cars look good. |
Uh...with the lights, im sure you can put somethin over them like transparent plastic to stop 'em gettin wet and shocking the driver lol :p (nice too see yas again, vert, hows it goin? ) |
But in any case how would you actually power the lights? If batteries then they'd be in constant need of replacement (not to mention having to actually crawl under the car to turn them on, erk), and if car battery then you'd need to pay an engineer a ridiculous sum to let him punch holes in your car... (i'm pretty good thank you, where ya been at?) |
Well...just get a saw and some wires; you can do it yourself lol although it isnt exactly recommended unless you know where your sawing :p (vikki asked me sorta same Q the other day and well, ive just not been posting alot lately, just enjoying the summer.) |
Re: Those ubercool floodlights under the cars... I don't think the current weather quite counts as summer... they need to invent a new season to account for all the heat. Greenhousmnter! |
Greenhousmnter - Lol very original :p |
Re: Those ubercool floodlights under the cars... I guess those are neon lamps, clipped onto the bottom of the vehicle. Not more than that?! Sorry to go off topic but i see this everywhere! do you actually know what "uber" really means. and its spelled wrong, its "ueber" or even more correct "über" |
Problem is, über is a german word and most boards are set to english so you cant get the " ü " correct so peeps say "uber" cos its easier. über can mean, super or over, depending where its used. |
Re: Those ubercool floodlights under the cars... Yea thats true, i don't like people that use words they don't even know, a lot of people tend to do that. well do you know some more german?! if so let me "hear" it :) lol i like your sig movie, i stared at it for like 5 minutes know |
Re: Those ubercool floodlights under the cars... 'Course I know what it means, it's what Mex said. Seriously I did already know it, pretty much everyone does. Just couldn't be bothered typing the ummlaut (now THAT I don't know how to spell :P) as my keyboard doesn't have a quick key for it (not being German). Other than that I hated my German teacher so I know almost nothing of the language, awesome though it may be. :) |
Re: Those ubercool floodlights under the cars... those lights are so freakin easy to find...and their like 40 bucks or something...they are just neon lights attached to the undercarriage...they're just for show really...a real street racer wouldnt put those on...remember, every ounce counts lol |
I dont know much german, just a few basic sentances cos I'm not the sort of person that can grasp other languages too well. Heh, i like the gif too, shame i didnt make it tho :p |

ah the voice of reason. under carriage lights are for ricers and carpet cars . |
Re: Those ubercool floodlights under the cars... Or just non-racers... those lights are *made* for English roads. :P |
Re: Those ubercool floodlights under the cars... They are normal neon lights clipped under the chassis and then a transparent plastic cover is put over them! Sheesh! Don't u gusy have the "tricked out" DVD yet? (Its a newer version than the old one) ¬azz |
