HA, it worked! I rented Twisted Metal with a couple of friends and one of them decided it was so cool he had to buy it. The game is good, but if you're not really into car combat games you probably won't enjoy it too much. Although some of the characters have some really f'd up prolouges! I swear sweet tooth said motherf-cker. |
Hey Wes, I would recommend TM:B to a gamer who usually doesn't play car combat style games. Yeah, the learning curve is rather steep at first but after a few hours you will be doing fine. I myself don't particularly care for this genre either, but I really have enjoyed TM:B. I'm more into RPG's, Sports, Platformers, and Survival Horror style games myself. In fact the only other car related games that I care to play is the Gran Turismo series. It is by no means a perfect game though, but the production value and bang for your buck is amazing. Great care and detail went into this title, and I think it shows through from beginning to end. If you decide to pick it up, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Of course, it may be a good idea to rent it first. |
Yeah, I would say rent it first. If you don't like car combat, chances are your not going to like Black because its really just more of the same (it just looks great and it's gigantic). If you play it make sure you get passed the first level, it's the worst one. Te prison ship is freaking awesome! Now I kick ass at this game. I got to the boss, and it is so damn annoying it's not even funny. I got his shield down, but I got blown away by all of his damn missles. Creative boss to say the least. Oh and Sweet Tooth ownz (yo!). --Nick |
