Mad Max: Fury Road So, I dressed up and went to go see it with a bunch of friends on the 15th, and I'm still kinda amped when I think about it. Excellently crafted and completely insane and wonderful. And then someone went and made this: I can't tell whether that mash-up would make it 10x better, or slightly worse. |
Re: Mad Max: Fury Road You dressed up? Tell me more. |
Re: Mad Max: Fury Road I loved the Chain Chomp. What was the film itself like, any good? Curious to know what a Mad Max film without Mel Gibson is like. Also, am I the only one who found the name Max Rockatansky a bit cheesy.... XD |

EDIT: I saw it again yesterday, because I had some spare time. It's worth it, there's little things you probably will miss the first time around simply because there's so much stuff to take in. |
Re: Mad Max: Fury Road Who doesn't like flamethrower guitars, I mean seriously who ?!!!! |
Re: Mad Max: Fury Road It wasn't a bad 'remake', but I still prefer the original. |
Re: Mad Max: Fury Road I thought this movie was bad-ass. I enjoyed it. Adding Mario Kart makes for an interesting take on it. |
Re: Mad Max: Fury Road I got to see the film a bit ago too and it was pretty decent. Special effects and so on are amazing. The only thing I didn't quite get, which may be a bit of a major flaw, was the plot. I mean I sort of understood this woman was smuggling out other women who were being treated as slaves and Max ended up getting involved somehow, but I think I need a second watch just to fully understand it. But still, I liked it a lot. |
Re: Mad Max: Fury Road I liked the 'remake', but the original was better. Maybe it needs to grow on me. |
Re: Mad Max: Fury Road I don't think it was so much a remake as a sequel to be fair. |
Re: Mad Max: Fury Road I've seen every Mad Max film, and I'm terribly tired of hearing Fury Road referred to as a remake. Honestly it's my favorite of the 4, as it seems to carry on in traditional Mad Max fashion (Obviously retaining the same creative direction of the creator and director, George Miller). I also personally prefer Tom Hardy by miles over Mel Gibson in terms of acting in general. As fantastic and defining as Gibson's Max was, I think Hardy was a more than competent replacement. Really, Fury Road was just the best movie of the Summer, imo. Business as usual for a legendary franchise that has always played by its own rules. |
