Mad Max: Fury Road

So, I dressed up and went to go see it with a bunch of friends on the 15th, and I'm still kinda amped when I think about it. Excellently crafted and completely insane and wonderful.

And then someone went and made this:

I can't tell whether that mash-up would make it 10x better, or slightly worse.

I loved the Chain Chomp.

What was the film itself like, any good? Curious to know what a Mad Max film without Mel Gibson is like.

Also, am I the only one who found the name Max Rockatansky a bit cheesy.... XD

A movie without Mel Gibson has a higher chance of being good than one with him.

Honestly, I didn't have much to go with. I just used a Brit desert DPM as my top, with a belt holding some old '50s Soviet clip pouches and a knife as an improvised bandolier/chest rig. A shemagh, Texas flag handkerchief, rebreather, and goggles for the head, multicam pants and wildland fire boots for the bottom, with archery gear (arm guards, finger pads, etc) as extra armor. I was lacking sports armor and leather, the two primary components of most Mad Max attire.

The film was fucking incredible. I mean, if you think crazy modified vehicles, exploding throwing spears, fights for freedom, and flamethrower guitars are fucking incredible. If not, then you might not enjoy the film as much.

EDIT: I saw it again yesterday, because I had some spare time. It's worth it, there's little things you probably will miss the first time around simply because there's so much stuff to take in.

It wasn't a bad 'remake', but I still prefer the original.

I thought this movie was bad-ass. I enjoyed it.

Adding Mario Kart makes for an interesting take on it.

I got to see the film a bit ago too and it was pretty decent. Special effects and so on are amazing. The only thing I didn't quite get, which may be a bit of a major flaw, was the plot. I mean I sort of understood this woman was smuggling out other women who were being treated as slaves and Max ended up getting involved somehow, but I think I need a second watch just to fully understand it.

But still, I liked it a lot.
