Christmas Movies

What are your favorite Christmas movies?

My absolute favorite that I must watch every year is Muppet Christmas Carol. I swear to god every time tiny tim dies, to this day, it makes me sad for a minute.

Also like The Santa Clause (with Tim Allen, the Original, not 2 or 3), Jingle All the Way (with Arnold Schwarzenegger), and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

Edit:
Guess nobody likes Christmas movies.

My girlfriend really, really likes the movie "love is all around you", so I usually end up watching it around Christmas. It isn't really a Christmas-movie but as far as those stereotypical love-drama-comedy movies go it is pretty good.

Some of the Die Hard movies also take place during Christmas, I think, but I doubt that this is what you had in mind.

Traditional Christmas movies don't make much of an impression on me (I watched some, but can't remember much about them).

I like Christmas movies, but usually only the semi-comedic kind, or the ones set during the middle ages. My overall favourite is still the 'A Christmas Carol' rendition by David Hugh Jones, starring Patrick Stewart. Stewart is fantastic in the role of that old, grumpy Ebenezer Scrooge.

I like "A Christmas Story", where the kid keeps asking for a Red Rider BB Gun. Great movie. I cringe every time I see the one kid put his tongue on the metal pole.

I never saw that movie in its entirety until a year ago, and I liked it.

A Christmas Story. Has that been mentioned yet? Watch it every Christmas day.

And, would you believe it, I've never fucking seen It's a Wonderful Life.

I don't enjoy christmas movies, last evening, this evening (1st christmas day) and tomorrow evening (2nd christmas day) are probably all going to suck. Just give me a good action movie, thriller, historic film... but cut the drama already.

Re: Christmas Movies

Well I know they usually tend to air the czech\german cinderella around Europe. (Which frankly is better than most of the american crap adaptations one sees)

There's also the scrooge movie from Hallmark.

And I kinda always liked a nightmare before christmas. The problem with all those movies is that they tend to air them sooooo often. You see them once they're wonderful, you seem them more than once (and considering they just love airing them every christmas) you're slowly disgusted.

Die Hard, easily the best Christmas movie (counts in my books since the movie ends with a x-mas song). Muppet Christmas Carrol is good too.

I watch that every year as I decorate my tree. Ever since I was a little kid. In fact, in the home videos my dad took, any time the tree is being decorated, you hear that movie in the backround.

I watch that every as well (national lampoons)
I also love the Patrick Stewarts version of A Christmas Carol although I would have preffered it if that annoying Tiny Tim would have met a sticky end in that version =p

I swear I saw that movie on tv 5 days straight last week, back-to-back-to-back in the evenings on one channel. Safe to say it ruined the movie for me.
