SGU is more like scrubs than Stargate. I hope they find a way to get back to Earth and use Destiny as a forward military base, that would be cool.
Believe me or not, but that's precisely what I fear. I hope they're going to loose all contact with Earth soon actually. To make them appear even more isolated and alone.
Losing the link with Earth only has so many advantages for a show. Look at ST: Voyager, by 'End Game' there shouldn't have been a crew left to get the ship back home; the Intrepid Class has a crew compliment of 100-200 or so? I don't remember the exact figures.
With the amount of battles they went into, and the amount of illnesses they picked up etc, for a seven-year arc, I'm amazed that there was anyone left to get the ship back home. With Atlantis, they managed to get some help through the gate when they needed it, the same could be done for Destiny, though that would be too much like Atlantis, and if they used the ship as a forward command base, that again, would be too much like SG-1.
I like how they're working at the moment, they just need to remember not to kill too many people off, else they'll have to explain the new faces.
Well, heres pretty much what I gathered from this episode,
Spoiler:
Holy shit, TJ is pregnant.
I've known that for a while, the actress is 'there' in real life too, I read they were going to incorporate the situation into the actual storyline.
I liked the last episode, Rush and Young seem to have reached an understanding of sorts, and it was nice to see some of the crew getting to know nature; though I'm curious about whether we'll ever see any of the crew that stayed behind.
