That was a good movie...it's true what everyone beens saying...
BUT....the modern movies lacked a smart plot line.
Casino Royale treats us as though most of the people watching the movie is intelligent and can understand the more complcated themes.

GoldenEye and Casino Royale were both directed by the same guy (who also happens to be a fellow NZer), and both were strong new directions for Bond after a period of decay.

Where GoldenEye pulls ahead of Casino Royale for me is that it retains all that indominable Britishness that is Bond. Casino Royale was soft on Bond's origins and character.

Casino Royale was shit.
And the new bond sucked hard.
He's not the sexy old bond like he used to be, and he's way to well built to be James Bond.
Timothy Dolton is the man for me, great actor, and he was in what I think, are the best James Bonds movies.
Although my favourite movie is Die another Day, god damn the chicks in that are hawt hehe

I don't feel that way at all.
I though Caisino Royal did alot for his origins...maybe not the britishness but It got bond far more gritty.

Yeah, but that's not Bond. Certainly not the Bond of Connery or Moore or Brosnan, who were the Bonds of Fleming.

There's a difference between character and actor.

Die another Day is considered bottom of the barrel for the Bond movies, along with Moonraker and Thunderball, the gadgets were way too unbelievable and almost too cheesey, most of the movie takes place in one area, although i did like the very beggining area.

The Irish are absolutely awesome... Still, he made a pretty good Bond in my opinion. Sean Connery was my absolute favourite however.

Daniel Craig was pretty good as well as far as I'm concerned. What many people seem to ignore is that Casino Royale was effectively the first Bond novel ever written, and Q was not in it back then, resulting in no fancy gadgets. The Developer even stated that he intended to show the gritty, much rougher side of Bond before Quantum of Solace. Which is a fair call I think.
