Cloverfield: Overhyped or Awesome? So, for those who've seen Cloverfield, did it live up to it's hype, or was it a movie version of Halo 3? |
Re: Cloverfield: Overhyped or Awesome? it was deffinitly overhyped. however, it was still an amazing movie. it had some downfalls. but still. I loved it |
Re: Cloverfield: Overhyped or Awesome? I didn't read anything about the movie. I just watched the trailer and thought it looked awesome. And it was. The ending was kind of shit though I reckon. |
Re: Cloverfield: Overhyped or Awesome? I also didn't read anything about it. Just watched the trailer then saw and I reckon it was pretty awesome. |
Re: Cloverfield: Overhyped or Awesome? that movie was amazing even though it doesnt explain anything (it wasnt suppose to) my one biggest question is why is it called cloverfield? |
Re: Cloverfield: Overhyped or Awesome? cloverfield was the military name for the case |

Re: Cloverfield: Overhyped or Awesome? Overhyped, I don't like the trailers I saw |
Re: Cloverfield: Overhyped or Awesome? I haven't seen it yet, but my friends tell me it's great. |
Re: Cloverfield: Overhyped or Awesome? Can I get a quick plot description of the movie? From the previews it looks like a Godzilla movie, or at least that's what my older bro and I thought. Seems like you guys are telling a different story... |
Re: Cloverfield: Overhyped or Awesome? monster attacks lover goes finds hot girl hot girl found everyone leaves the monster gets a beer and some crack THE END!!! |
Re: Cloverfield: Overhyped or Awesome? i saw it the other day with a couple ppl. it was ok, but we all had motion sickness. and the ending blows |
Re: Cloverfield: Overhyped or Awesome? I think it was overhyped, even though for whatever reason I managed to dodge it all. Don't get me wrong, I think it was very good. The whole "camcorder" thing didn't live up to its potential I don't think. It was clever that the incident was "taped over" a couple's day at Coney Island, and that yielded interesting things, but so much more could have been done with it. Of course, we're talking about a monster movie, which can't really be that deep anyway. Christopher Nolan (Memento, The Prestige) should do a movie with such a mechanic, perhaps... In any case, I thought it was an extremely solid, thrill ride of a monster movie. |
