Favourite Movie Endings

Mine are The Descent ( Because of how gloomy and unexpected it was) and Scarface( Because itws always dramatic to see such an iconic Film character go out in a blaze of glory).

I expect spoiler tags aplenty here. Please use them.

Can't really say what my favorite movie ending is right now.

Re: Favourite Movie Endings

The Usual Suspects, No Way Out (crappy film, but the end made me re-watch it twice), Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (Spock!), Das Boot... to name but a few.

Re: Favourite Movie Endings

Any great film that has the final scene of the hero riding into the sunset is tops for me.

Ever seen Crank? Man, the ending was fucked up on that.

I like the S-mart ending of "Army of Darkness". You can probably find that as you-tube video.

Another movie with great ending is, of course, "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly".

Re: Favourite Movie Endings

I would have to say Army of Darkness. Excellent ending. I am talking about the original release, not the directors cut version.

Besides that, I would have to say The Departed. Did not expect the final twist at the end. Excellent film.

I really liked how The Core ended.

Spoiler:
Unsung Heros for the win ^_^

the end of the holy grail. awesome defeat of the armies

Nusentinsaino May 1st, 2007 02:42 AM

I especially love the Mickey Mouse song at the end of Full Metal Jacket. Very eerie and creepy.

Crimson Butterfly May 1st, 2007 02:55 AM

Saving Private Ryan had a pretty emotional ending. Wasn't spectacular but it all fits together. And Click too - though the whole 'dream' sequence thing has been whored so many times it was most unexpected.

Captain Fist May 1st, 2007 12:03 PM

The Devil's Advocate, that speech by Pacino was awesome.

The Empire Strikes Back. Self explanatory.

And uh . . Saw? I was really puzzled in the end, I remember when I first saw it, I theorized this long and complicated theory, and it turned out to be correct.

I win!

Army of Darkness and Alien 3

Army of Darkness for already stated reasons.

Alien 3 'cuz it ended the trilogy well, then Alien Resurrection came out and well...ruined it.

darth_omega1 May 1st, 2007 09:37 PM

I gotta say the ending to ''Star Wars Return of the Jedi'' because from my point of view its very emotional ending to a very emotional story, same goes for ''Star Wars Revenge of the Sith''

Nusentinsaino May 1st, 2007 10:02 PM

I found my favorite ending: YouTube - Full Metal Jacket - Mickey Mouse song

Banach May 3rd, 2007 04:18 AM

The Departed.

bagabondo May 14th, 2007 02:19 PM

Fight Club, it's just so... pretty; Memento, it's like whoa ; American Psycho
Ichi the killer, it only felt right ; Oldboy pretty again

arcadeplayer987 May 15th, 2007 11:00 AM

300 Spartans - I like all the movie especially the end.

Starstruck May 15th, 2007 12:22 PM

The end too casino royale...

Spoiler:
When he shoots mr white in the leg and as hes crawling up the steps you see bond calmly wask past with a silenced gun in his hands, stops and just says "the names bond, james bond." What a guy!

MrFancypants May 15th, 2007 05:30 PM

I also like the end of the movie "Life is beautiful", it's an italian mixture of comedy and drama, the first half is a very funny love-story while the second is extremely sad (about the couple and their kid being deported to a concentration-camp).

My favourite movie endings are:

Spoiler:

Lord of the Rings; Fellowship of the Ring.
- I think it just a really good ending to lead onto the next movie.

Star Wars; The Empire Strikes back
- Lol, self explanatory.

Star Trek; Wrath of Kahn.
- Forgetting Spock, the nebula battle was a great way to end the film.

Star Trek; Generations.
- The scenes in the Nexus were my favourite scenes in any of the trek movies. That, the scene where Picard and Riker are going through the bridge and the captain's room (office, whatever it is called, I forgot) and Picard finds the family chronicle amongst the rubble, intact.

The usual suspects.
- And with that, he's gone.

The Matrix Revolutions
- Decent ending to a great trilogy.

Monty Python and the Holy grail
- "We the french trick you again!" Nuff said.

Monty Python and the Life of Brian
- "Always look on the bright side of death"

The Sound of Music
- I just thought it was nice. Don't laugh at me for saying that.

Dude, Where's my car
- Yes, its a light comedy movie. But they never explained where the car went before it was impounded, and suddenly it appears behind a truck at the end. "Dude, where's my car?" - "Oh, there's your car dude!"

Stark98 May 16th, 2007 11:08 AM

also a good ending was of Resident Evil.

The herogirl walks out of the special room and sees the entire city dead and a paper hanging on a car. DEAD MEN WALKING... with pictures of zombies. The girl takes a shotgun of a police car and lock and load and walks into the city!

For me a new movie was born :p

Benzin May 16th, 2007 11:15 AM

Spongebob movie =p
nah, I like the ending of Snakes on a plane though, what a nerd! learning to fly a plane from games.

Same. I think thats one of the only movies I've ever seen where I never predicted the ending.

Mad Cat May 16th, 2007 12:47 PM

The blues Brothers.

Not very original and all, but heck, it literally rocks! :)

And what a movie! Roberto Begnini is one of my heroes for making that movie.

My favorite ending might be in Takashi Miike's Dead or Alive. "Hits you like a truck," (-Miike) for sure. Good movie, at that.

For sure, on all of those, too!

I actually really enjoyed Crank. The ending, too, was something.

The ending of Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail's ending I think was also very good.
