Default Event Horizon

What do you guys think about this movie?

Its one of the best horror movies I've seen so far. Even though it got low ratings, its pretty good. Different from the usual crap that follows the "saw" format.

You know, madman/villain slashing and dashing teens/tourists/ etc.

For all of you who don't know, its a movie set in deep space. Something strange happens on a spaceship and the crew finds themselves in hell, literary.

I watched it a long time ago and wasn't very impressed. The whole idea of flying around with a black hole seemed a bit strange to me.

If you want a good horror-movie take Kubrick's The Shining. If you want a good science fiction-film take Kubrick's 2001. Actually, if you want a good film out of any category take the one made by Kubrick

I DESPISE Kubrick, who must have murdered his editor while working on Space Odyssey: 2001.

As towards Event Horizon, it's one of the few films that give me a creepy feeling anymore. Some scenes have to be lived to be as terrifying as portrayed, "The blood wave scene", and others try and fail to be scary. As towards the black hole drive, it's pretty much the same idea as a wormhole or hyperdrive, just alot more dangerous.

The idea that a black hole can be used as wormhole is just wrong. It is simply a good method to pull yourself apart and should therefore not be kept in a spaceship.
As for the bloodwave, sounds like an obvious Kubrick-copy to me

Even Horizon was the most goriest movie I have seen during that time, and they failed miserably on the acting roles and story line, they focused on the gore instead.
