Annoying adverts. Every nation has them, annoying, cheesy and generally rubbish ads. Explain them on this thread! |
Re: Annoying adverts. Very true. Yesterday I had to watch 30 minutes of annoying adds in cinema before the movie started. Thankfully I don't have TV so that's about as bad as it gets :) |
Re: Annoying adverts. Any Burger King commercial. Take your pick. Oh yeah, and those stupid pizza commercials for Pizza Hutt (or whichever it is) with Jessica Simpson in them."These bites were made for poppin'!" And I'm gonna pop you in the eye! |

Well, about cinema ads; they do not really annoy me. As they are always kind of the same, they give me a cinema feeling, hahah (strange, eh). And I don't mind to watch the trailers either. But television ads, blah. The most annoying ones are the badly lip-synched ones, aahhww awfull, they are! Mostly cleaning products advertisements are the worst. Really, they can make me mad, they are soo incredibly dumb. And there is this 'Bob the Builder'-soup ad, which is annoying as hell. All by all, there are too many to point out. But, there are some fun ones too (phew). Like KFC, and Nike has some cool commercials as well. But the bad outnumber the good. It's strange how those people employed to make ads get paid so much (atleast I've heard it's a good job). Considering most seem to do their work so bad, I'm really surprised about them getting so much money. |
Re: Annoying adverts. One of the main reasons I quit watching TV. I'm not going to have a show, which aren't that good anymore, interupted every 5-7 minutes to show me 2-3 minutes of commercials. Now I only watch movies. |
Re: Annoying adverts. As annoying as those ads are, you remember them and that is the goal of the advertiser. I don't know why the company would put up with them though. It would be nice if they went with some more imagination and less celebrity placement. So what if Jessica Simpson is advertising pizza. Do you really think she eats more than a slice a month? At least they should try to be realistic, but not the Jared realism. **shudder** |

As for annoying.. sexline commercials piss me off. |

Ad I hate is the Progressive insurance and all coke/pepsi commercials. Geico ones I like:) Quote:
Because she is hot;) She does'nt look as good as she can in that commercial they did a bad job IMO. I'd like her to pop one in my mouth:) |
Re: Annoying adverts. There's about 20 minutes of commercials in the theaters. It was enough to get me to consider complaining. The same thing over and over too, its enough to make a man cry. As for TV commercials, I don't really mind them, but commercials during tv movies are the worst. so irritating because movies are one continous loop hehe. |
Re: Annoying adverts. The Cillit Bang adverts are so annoyingly bad. I don't like the sponsor adverts on during 24 either. Some woman hunting for diamonds...bah, Jack should just go up and shoot her, then it would be awesome. |
Re: Annoying adverts. Hi! im Barry Scott and this is the new cillit bang grime and lime! just shut up! |
Re: Annoying adverts. ads don't bother me anymore, i just zone out when they come on for the most part. and some of them are actually funny(about 10%) |
Re: Annoying adverts. Those soap commercials are the most annoying, I can live with most adds, but when they come up with cillit bang, dash, dreft (don't know if they have the same nales in your countries but you get my point) I get so f*cking frustrated. |
Re: Annoying adverts. [quote=*Soviet.Power] The Cillit Bang adverts are so annoyingly bad. Did you hear the problem with Cilit bang when it first came out? It was great - on the advert they had Barry Scott using it on an oven and there was a picture of an oven on the bottle but on the back it said "do not use on ovens". Hehe - just sayin. Most annoying advert'll have to be either Sheila's Wheels - because of the ridiculous soundtrack - or Confused.com with the guy just comes on yelling - so annoying. The best advert though is the drugs (FRANK) 1 with the kid with the red hat and the yellow question mark coming out. Great stuff. While we're on the subject does anyone know the advert that was on a while go? It consisted of a man just laughing while spraying this vanish stuff from a hose while other guys were using brushes. His laugh was in time with the music if anyone recognises it. Cheers |
Re: Annoying adverts. Well advertising does indeed help shows and/or movies to stay alive. |
Re: Annoying adverts. Yes, Sheila's Wheels, Confused.com, Cilit Bang. The most horrific, cheesy adverts in the history of mankind. |
Re: Annoying adverts. Sheila's Wheels... you damned... no! THE SONG IS IN MY HEAD AGAIN! I find that advert especially ironic, as they're claiming women are safer drivers whilst speeding backwards, singing and generally not using the steering wheel... |
Re: Annoying adverts. The Sam Neil red meat ad, thats hilarious but utter rubbish... for anyone who hasnt seen it goto: http://www.themainmeal.com.au/evolution.mpg to download ^ and for info goto: http://www.mla.com.au/TopicHierarchy...ation+Food.htm For anyone who doesnt know Sam Neil is the guy from the first and 3rd Jurassic Park. |
Re: Annoying adverts. Who wouldn't know who Sam Neil is?? Hell, we were born in the Jurassic Park era! |
Re: Annoying adverts. WTF, I just tried to reply to this thread and was told that its 30days old and I cant do that... wierd I guess I lost my uber response! |
