No. It wouldnt work, first off, game movies dont do well, and second, GTA is too open ended to make a movie out of it, its one thing to make a close ended doom like game into a movie, but then try to do it with GTA... wont work. It will just be an other urban hip hop shoot 'em up movie, not that the world doesnt have enough of those already...
and btw, GTA games do actually have storylines, but hardly any1 actually watches all the cutscenes and follows it. i dont follo it either, but it wud still b cool as a proper movie.
there s one game that I think would make a VERY good movie: Max Payne

Agreed, GTA sounds intresting but it would be hard to come up with a good storyline. May Payne on the other hand has some potential in the hands of the right director.
A Grand Theft Auto movie would be CRAP, and most likely ruin the franchise for a lot of players. JUST BECAUSE A VIDEO GAME OR BOOK IS SUCCESSFUL DOES NOT MEAN IT SHOULD BE MADE INTO A MOVIE.
