I'm looking for some good movies to watch and I'm wondering if anybody could recommend any good movies I should watch. I love action, and when it sometimes crosses with drama it's even better, like House of flying daggers. Foreign movies are also my favorite, Tomie, and Returner were good movies. So yeah please let me know what you think.

Aliens is an older, but still AWESOME movie with a lot of action/drama(-ish). Like Aliens better than Alien myself, but if you want to start from the beginning you should do that . . . dunno if you've seen it or not, suprisingly most of my friends have NEVER seen it (aka, only one has), shame, it's a GREAT series of movies, always a fav of mine to watch. Dunno if this is at all your style or not (not foreign, but I couldn't think of any of those that I cared overly for)

Have you seen Battle Royale?
Unleashed is an ok action movie.
I just saw a korean movie called Musa, it's set in China in 1200-1400 (can't remember exactly) and has a lot of good action scenes.

I own battle royale because I read the book. I have seen all the aliens and both predator movies too. I find it hard to believe that I've seen every good movie out there.

If you like House of Flying Daggers you might enjoy "Hero" or "Crouching Tiger, hidden Dragon". But there is a good chance that you already know those.
As for a good mix of drama and action: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000041/
I didn't see a movie if this person yet which I wouldn't recommend. Rashomon, Yojimbo, Hidden Fortress, Seven Samurai or Throne of Blood, all great movies.
If that's too eatstern for you try the Dollar trilogy by Sergio Leone. "For a fistfull of Dollars", "A few dollars more" and especially "The good, the Bad and the Ugly" are all worth your time. Hope this helps

The Last Samurai
you may have seen it and it is kinda hollywood in some scenes, but still one of my favorites
If its still in a cinema near you, check out Der Untergang (also known as "the downfall" ) its about the last days of hitler and his third reich, its a german movie and its very historically acurate and touching. One of my favourit movies ever.
If it isn't in the cinema anymore get the DVD (out in europe since a month) or wait for it to be released on DVD (for people that live in the states).
