Another X-Files movie?
 

I am a die hard fan of the X-Files and I was just reading through the stuff on wikipedia about the show. Apparently there were plans for another movie to resolve the unanswered questions that the series finale left. I am wondering if anyone here has an update on whether this movie is in production or not. If such a sequel was made, how many of you would go to see it? As I understand it, the X-Files movie did quite well.

from what I remember reading, theres a contract for a second movie, but it has not gone anywhere yet.

Man, I totally forgot about the X-Files. There were rumors a year ago (March, 2004), but I haven't heard anything since.

Given the sky-rocketing career of David Duchovny, it may be possible to see him back (he was the main one who lost interest in it...in favor of his fabulous movie career).
Gillian Anderson has said she'd do another. But it may depend on Chris Carter, I guess. :lookaround:

Honestly, I never took the chance to watch any of the X-Files episodes, nor the movie. I know virtually nothing about, other than that I am able to recognize the theme music.

^The first three seasons were really excellent. But I didn't watch the final season at all--it just got too lame. The movie was okay...

They are going to make a second x-files movie. David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson and Chris Carter have said, they will be doing a sequal sometime late this year.

I actually haven't watched that show in like 5 years, but the other day, me and a friend watched about 3 hours total on the sci-fi channel. That show was great, and if I remember correctly the movie was good too. I'll be looking forward to this.
