So? This is a game, not the films.
They can clash in the GC, all the heroes can. Boba Vs Obi = Boba getting owned. Seen it many many times.

However back on topic right.
I have never seen a clash beetween Obi and Boba just because Obi is killed by my At-At as soon as he shows up nor Obi vs Vader. What a pity I would really like to see a hero clash.

I have never, ever seen Obi get killed by AT-ATs before.

ya thats true, actully, as soon as they come into each others LOS, they start the hero clash. Its funny to see, about 9 stormie squads, 3 AT-ATs, and various other units on each side just stop and watch them fight. lol.

I have the best idea this game will ever see. Make it so you can select a fighter, and press a button, and the game completely changes, all your ships n shit are givent to the AI, and fight, but you're transfered to the cockpit. So its no longer an RTS, its an arcade flight sim ;) And when you die/press a button, you're teleported back to the normal view. I've seen so many times where I have MASSIVE battles, and I want nothing more then to be able to fly around in them. The EAW people will NEVER do it cuz itd be too hard, but it sure would own.

It would be like Rise and Fall Civilizations at war where you can change from RTS to RPG by taking control of the hero. Hmmm I's really an excellent idea.
Imagine to be in the cockpit of Vader Tie. Wow in a massive battle flying around ISDs MC and killing the enemy fighters, calling even for reinforces.
I believe it could be done using for example the cockpit of ships like in the main screen menu.A fantastic idea. You have all my support for this splendid idea!!!

Unfortunately, I don't see how that could work. I agree it would be great. The "TIE cockpit" in the main menu is basicly just an overlay on the menu.

With Rise and Fall there wasn't much of a change to control for when direcctly controlling the Hero, so that kind of thing could work for land based battles.
Unfortunately, space is a 3d plane, so a joystick/joypad would probably become necessary.

I can also run fairly huge battles with anti aliasing on but it doesnt make a difference when im one 1600x1200 resolution. but it just wouldnt fit in this game.

I could run everything without a second of lag,my only prob are those damn black squares
but anyway if you wan't that whole idea of the cockpits, it would take up 2/3 of even my gaming comp

Well I don't have probs with huge battles and everything set to maximum and have antialias set too.
It wouln't be a problem for me to have a game with space and land inside.
I would buy what necessary to paly such a monster game!!

Yes Empireftw but if you close up in EAW you may see that the grafic is really excellent and not crap as in other rts.EAW is different and better on this side of the matter.

I have a good card i can have the settings all teh way up but they arent high detailed skins try to make up fo that because in a rts u dont get realy close to your units. so what may looks cool from p their could looks lame because it is just part of a skin.
