No main menue, HELP!!!

I have the following problem:
After watching the intros, i only get a black screen with the (i suppose) main menue music. pressing a mouse button crashes Flite Force. If i restart EF i get an error like "GL_init string is NULL" appears at the EF-console!

What goes wrong here?

My System is:
PIII @ 800 Mhz
384 MB RAM
Voodoo 5500 Graphics-Card (with beta drivers supporting DX9=succesful DXdiag tests)

Thanks, xmms

PS: Don't worry about my english, i am from germany :)

My first guess would be that EF2 doesnt like your VooDoo5500 card much

SUPPORTED CHIPSETS:
- All ATI® Radeon
- nVidia® TNT2 and TNT2 Ultra
- All nVidia® GeForce™ chipsets
- SIS Xabre 400

No 3dfx cards in the list.

Send an email to Ritual support.

Get rid of the beta drivers and either upgrade or even downgrade to a stable version of drivers for your chipset. Beta drivers are exsperimental.

I posted a message on the Ritualistic forums about this. Someone from Ritual answered that 3dfx cards are not supported.

I've got it! EF2 runs on my VooDoo 5!

Here the way i did it:
1. I installed EF2 on Windows 98 and no menue appears
2. I run EF2 on Linux using WINEX (Win & DX emulator from www.transgaming.com) and the meune appears, but you can not use the buttons.
3. I run EF2 on windows again and ... it works just fine!

So I think the EF2 Engine has some problems to initalize the graphics with voodoo chipsets.

I attached my config file cause you might get EF2 working without having to install linux.
