well, did you bother to check your system can run it? Because of the enhanced Q3 grahpics, you need at LEAST:
a 3d hardware accelorator card -100% Direct X 9 compatible. 32MB video card and Drivers
Pentium 3 600MHz or Athlon processor or higher
English version of Microsoft Windows 98/ME/2000/XP (95 and NT not supported)
128MB RAM
Quad speed CD-ROM drive (600K/sec. sustained transfer rate) and drivers
1.3GB of uncompressed free had disk space (plus 200MB for Windows swap file)
100% Direct X 9 compatible 16-bit sound card and drivers.

If you do meet all of those specifications and still cant get it working, try freeing up some HDD space, doin a Defrag or if you have to, try a re-format.

And if you do meet the system requirements and you defragment and that doesnt work, make sure you have updated drivers, and directx 9 if you dont have it you can download it from windows.com. Hope this helps.

here's my sytem info, EF2 is still too slow to play.

1. Product is Elite force 2.

2. When I get to the menue in this game, it is so slow and choppy I can't hardly do anything. If I move the mouse, for instance, it takes a long time to move across the screen. It is unusable and I thus haven't even tried playing the game yet.

3. Your computer’s processor type and speed is 1.8GHZ P4

4. Amount of RAM is 256 MB DDR RAM

5. Make and model of your video and sound cards is Video integrated SiS 650 chipset, Audio is AC97 audio

6. DVD speed is 16X max speed

7. Operating system is windows XP

If anything, i'd say that intergrated video card is the problem. Intergrated things tend to be a bit dodgey. Solution : Get a new Video card....maybe
