Question Tour mods

Hi there,

I owned this game years back, elite force 1. How ever I found it disappointing that neither the PC or the PS2 copy contained an over active exciting tour mod.

Ofcourse there was an expansion pack but it was quite bland.

As for elite force 2 that had absolutely nothing available after completion. I guess the modding community has ended for this game, it sure did for the elite force end of the decade.

Going a touch off-topic here.

I owned a copy of Star Trek Invasion for the PSone, the game froze on mission fourteen after completing it three times. It is clear after the CD being fourteen years old it degraded over the time. I have bought another copy for £1.49, so about fifty pence cheaper than what I had made seven months before.

Some missions I skipped as they were just too hard and repetitive.

I generally prefer a trek game on a gaming computer, not a powerful PC.

I had downloaded a copy of the Demos for Elite force 1, 2. I just couldn't stick with it.

I thought the Voyager Tour Expansion Pack (Or as we would call it now, DLC) was actually pretty decent. Plenty of stuff to explore and do in there, the whole Captain Proton and Klingon holodeck scenarios, the Borg game on Deck 15, lots of easter eggs, it was certainly of a higher quality than any mod.

The tour mod is downloadable content?

I just felt there was much freedom in it, you can't interactive with much on the decks of the ship. Captain Janeway got annoyed when messing with the tactical alert.

Far too bland.

As for Elite force 2, there wasn't anything for it.

I might get a copy of Shattered Univers for the Xbox, and possibly Legacy for the Xbox 360, save spending £8 on elite force 2. They are rough games, sort of like Invasion.

I once typed a tweet to Mr Stewart who recorded his voice for the game, but no reply to it.

No, I was just saying, expansion packs were the equivalent of the day, for the young'ns who may not remember.

I wouldn't agree there. I'm sure there was something to do on every deck. Freedom of the ship is what you want. Sure, Janeway asked you to turn the Red Alert off when you activate it inexplicably. Of course, she would, why would you go to Red Alert for no reason. But it's also funny.

For a tour, I thought there was more than enough stuff to do. I'd challenge you to find a tour mod or (if such a thing exists) expansion pack for any other game that wasn't as "bland" - they're kinda bland by nature.

True enough, but it was made by a completely different developer.

It was no fun. I last owned a copy of Elite force with the Expansion pack back in early Autumn 2011.

I just thought it was poor.

I then recycled it both the exact same location where I took the degraded preowned Invasion PSone disc, I got that for £2, this time around I get a saving for another copy via Amazon.

I'm lucky enough the six, plus year old Cathade ray tube television is still working for the PSone console and the xbox. I won't invest £30 for an old PS2 just to play elite force on the console, as the control pad was good. I was actually thinking, to have a tour mod via the console, you'd just have to save each point of where the ship is accessible. But that wasn't very much from what I can remember.

I remember a decade ago, the mods for elite force were much more interactive than the bland tour mod, which you are correct had objectives. You can't exactly go in a shuttle craft for example.
