My favorite non-human ship would have to be the Vulcan Science Ship in First Contact.

As far as alien ships go if I'm allowed to have it I'd say the Bridge Commander Cardassian hybrid ship. If I need a TV show one then I'm gonna go with the Jem Hadar classic.

Jem'Hadar classic? Do you mean the attack "bug" ship?

Aye. The weird lookin' scarab ship. It was a pretty cool peice of design and stood well in line with the general feel of the Dominon.

it was an effective ship because of the production speed. they could send out mass numbers of them at a time and still have more to spare, that and the fact that they were incredibly agile.

See, the cartakers ship wasn't a ship was it? It was a station.

Another bonza alien ship is the 8472 ship. It's alive and kick's borg butt.

The New Orleans class is the best ship because it is a versitle ship. It can have science pods or tricolbalt torpedos on that ship. Besides that, it is really cool, and named after the coolest city!

Notice that this thread started out as what is your favrite ship on st lol, but now it'sturning into what is the best ship on st lol.

Usually, people view their favorate ship as the best ship in ST. The best ship is pure speculation, and this forum proves it.

If you can define what you mean as "best" then I'm pretty sure you'd come to an answer. What's the best that you're looking for? If it's best body count then it's probably the borg cube because it's capable of taking out about 75 ships before going down (unless that ship is called Voyager at which time it's about as usful as a screen door on a submarine).

I wasn't asking what the best ship was. I was just stating that it didn't seem like people were posting their favs, and instead were arguing what ones were "better". I like the Vulcan Science ship because of it's color/size/shape, not it's weapons. It's pointless to argue about ship strengths because there are any number of variables to a given situation, so it's impossible to make an accurate comparison.

Sorry about the rant, I'm tired and I can't think of a different way to express my thoughts.

Id never seen a promethuis (sorry if i botched the spelling) your pic is about half filled touugh id have to go for the ship in enterprise where it cam from the 30th cantury and is bigger on the inside than outside :rock:

holy crap. look at the dates. it's been 8 days since kahless's post. man, is it just me, or is the forum going dry. I mean, alot of the answers are similar to one another. we need some fresh ideas.

true man. Am I the only semi hardcore trekkie around here that can appreciate races like the andorians or tholians? I mean come on, nobody has posted their ships besides me. (of course, nobody probably wants to because the fact that they aren't cool enough. anyway, that should've been a poll. good thinking, LT.

Love the Souvereign class, but I still prefer the Speed class.

My favorate non human ship has got to be Tin Man. He blew away those Rommies. He was probably the precursor to species 8472.

the vulcan science ship is cool cause of the design. what is more logical than a geometric shape. cool beans man. and yeah, the forums have been picking up.

My fav ship is the USS Voyager NCC-74656 from Endgame with the Ablative Hull Armor. It's cool!

That could kick any ships ass. I mean some on even klingon ships from the future and even the borg couldn't get through it on the shuttle.



i love it. Oh, and the transphasic torpedoes, and we all know what kinda damage they can do.

No more worrys for Starfleet about the Borg invading earth until they adapt.

i really like the Romulan Bird of Prey from Nemesis and TNG, they are big, and powerful, and one of the only kind of ships that rival the Enterprise.

"If" they adapt quick enough. the federation (although it never would) should've invaded the borg if they ever got so far ahead of the borg tech-wise. put an end to that kinda thing. that and give all league worlds anti-borg technology like those altered nanites, for example.

no they need more 8472 tech-wise even in the begining they beat the borg ( the only reson voy beat them was by cheating and i am sure given time they would grow immune to the alterd killer nano-probes ( or how ever you spell it ) )

over time, yes... but a massive full scale war that is quick and decisive would work. remember, that time period is supposed to be an incredibly weak time for the borg. they leave alot of territory and fall back into a mass efficiency mode. they are very vulnerable.

Anyway, my fav NON-Federation ship, is the Klingon Bird Of Pray.... :lol:

The feds did want to use Hugh from TNG "I, Borg" as a weapon to give the collective a neverending, top-looking shape that would drive the borg insane trying to figure it out, but like always, the Enterprise crew felt "too guilty" to use the thing, and let the borg go on their happy little way assimlateing people.

My favorate non fed ship is the Romulan warbird. You could fly two Defiant calss ships in between thise massive wings. Sweet.

yeah, I know he went with lore and them, the whole 2 parter episode on the planet and the first real time that they showed the borg insignia in all it's glory. I thought when they rescued everyone though, hugh said he'd keep in touch?
