Don't get it if you are like me and want it to be cannon. It was a huge disappointment along with EF1.

I goth both EF1 and its expansion two years ago for a total of $15 new at Target. You can get EF2 for about $30 on average for new these days.

The skins, maps and (mostly) models in the game are beautiful, but the game feels 'rushed' out of the door!

All we can hope for, is for the modding- and modelling-community to save the game from inevitability!

The EF1 expansion isn't all that worth getting.
Basically what you *really* get in it is "Virtual Voyager" and 2 holodeck missions for SP.

The rest is freely available in the EF1 v1.2 patch (which is basically all the new MP stuff, plus the Seven of Nine voice patch).

So unless you find the Expansion on a reaalllyy good deal, then get it. Otherwise just update your normal EF1 to v1.2

As for EF2, I personally like it. As some say you do need a good enough computer to really enjoy it.
