Default Keep your eyes out for the next GI issue

"Got the cover art in today for the next issue. Giant sequel not at E3, and the art...well, fantasy nuts are gonna crap themselves"
That was a tweet about the next Game Informer issue, which will be announced at the start of July.

Some of us will have read this interview at Interview: Bethesda's Pete Hines | Joystiq

E3 is coming up pretty soon. Should we be watching for any announcements from you or is this pretty much it?

Probably not. Just me, personally, both from my days, even though it seems eons ago where I used to attend E3 as a journo and now with my ten-plus years at Bethesda, I just don't think E3 is a great place to announce anything. It's just so much stuff going on that it tends to get lost, so I think we tend to try and go outside of that window for new announcements. I think we'll have a lot of new things to show. For example, all these games that we're talking about will have new stuff. We hope to be hands-on with the majority of them for the press, that kind of thing. But as far as new announcements, I think we would either do those kinds of things and maybe be more inclined to do them at events like QuakeCon. That's now kind of an event that we're working with id to make bigger and better. One of the ways you make it bigger and better is you take some of your stuff and do announcements there rather than doing them elsewhere. So I think it still remains to be seen, but I wouldn't expect any big announcements from us at E3, although it is only April and it's two months away.
Zenimax has the trademark 'Skyrim', and has been renewing it since they first filed it. It can be found via a simple search at Trademarks Home. They have until around August to either let it expire (in which case they'd have to file it again, which could take a while), or to file a statement of intent for use, which would mean we know they are using it, and they'd have to advertise it some way. They gave us our first look at Oblivion with GI, and considering the timing of the magazine in relation to the trademark, and the fact that most anticipated sequel (like Dragon Age 2) are expected to be unveiled at E3, I'd say that E3 isn't going to happen, but the next GI issue is a good bet for TESV to be shown. Make sure you still take a healthy dose of scepticism though.

Alas, it was Dragon Age 2. Still, the trademarks still exist and there's always Quakecon. If it's not announced around there, then I guess that's it until next year.
