Oblivion: Battle for Bruma Help

I am playing Oblivion GOTY verison on Xbox,

I have got all possible allies for bruma, and left one of my knights of the nine outside the gate,

I sprinted through the great gate and too the great sigil stone with more than 7 minutes to spare, I came back to find everyone dead except Martin and the Cheydinhal guard who cannot die! When i did this on the computer and adopted a similar stratergy almost no one died. I really want at least Jauffre, my knight(s) of the nine and Baurus to survivie.

- Can I bring more than one knight of the nine down? (by telling them to wait here at the battle site)
- Is there a technique to maximise the amount of survivors?

can anyone who can help me?

I encountered this too back when I only played the X360 version. I think it's because of a bug, though it seems fixed on the PC.

You could also try lowering the difficulty during that mission, it wont keep them all from getting killed, but its worth a try.
