Well there are all your splash screens, you don't necessarily have to use humanoid rankings. The ranks could be:

1. Scribb
2. Skeleton
3. Goblin
4. Great House Warrior
5. Imperial Legionairre

Etc, those are just examples, you could be a bit more broad if you wanted to.

change knight master to master-at-arms and when you say place guard, do you mean palace guard? i think it's actually a fort guard or just an imperial guard, but yeh that works for me

i think ordinator and high ordinator should be higher on the list, an ordinator could own a imperial guard easily.

I wouldn't call in-game screenshot quality exactly good, though. They'd need some heavy editing to make them all look similiar as ranks.

Well, it's not like the rank pictures can be very large, when you take a 1280x1024 screenshot on max settings and take it down the that level it can look pretty high quality.
