The Fate of the Nerevarine

You guys may remember your character in Morrowind, who in the course of the MQ became the Nerevarine. Well, some of you may be wondering, what happened to him? I was going across Chorrol, and this convo between two of the NPC's caught my eyes.



Akavir is a contenent to the east of the Tamriel, where man odd races live, including the Tsaesci. The Nerevarine ran off to the east for more adventure it seems, effectively excusing the Devs to put in the Nerevarine and getting past the fact that it could've been any of the races.

Huh.Good job finding this GDI.It's odd,but i've sat in Chorrol sometimes just to hear the NPCs gossip,and i've never heard this.

I've never heard it either, I usually just hear about...mud crabs, or the Fighter's Guild. Nothing really useful or insightful. It's nice to see that the NPCs can say more meaningful things at times.

The odd thing though is that a few of my sources claim they talk about it in most of the cities Kind of baffling considering they've never even said the word Nerevarine.

haha ya thats cool iv actualy seen it for myself. Its a rather cool feeling when u think about it. You are hearing about the nerevarine(your old character) here on oblvion (on your new character) its pretty cool actualy, haha. and yes the gossip is rather fun to listen to

yeah and apparently House Redoran is at War with House Indoril, as per gossip as well.
Ordinators and Redoran Guards fighting... that sounds so cool looking.
I'm for the Redoran's myself ('cause i was a redoran for the main quest)

Bethesda seriously needs to release something that involves the nerevarine in the future, since thats such a cool character concept.

nerevar who is soooo leet and won an entire war and killed 2 gods (3 if u decided u didnt like vivec...) and has 2 swords that are on FIRE!!! > the oblivion person thats completely generic and has no common reference and is just some dumb prizoner

Almalexia killed Sotha Sil, and you start out in Morrowind on a prison barge, under the Emperor's order because you were thought to be the Nerevarine.

I know almelexia killed sotha sil. by the 2nd god i was refering to dagoth ur not sotha sil. if u remember he shouts "I AM A GOD" before you kill him. or something of the sort. and nerevar was put on a prision barge for a purpose, as opposed to the oblivion characeter who decided to steal a fork...

The Nerevar was originally meant to be an ordinary prisoner for some unknown crime. It was the emperor who gives the order to save the character from this once he learned of its nature.
