You want to be a stright mage or a battlemage? Stright mages wouldnt use armor. just robes and such, personally heres my favortie mage build;
Race: Breton
Birth Sign:The Mage, The Apprentice, or The Lady(for the willpower bonus)
Specialization: Magic, duh
Major Skills: Destruction, Conjuration, Mysticism, Restoration, Illusion, Alteration, and Sneak.
Thats my persoanl Preference

I would think so, since your not encumberd by any armor... yeah, its probally a sure bet you can move faster

I don't wanna waste a skill slot on alchemy, what should I pick for my last skill? Block or light armor?

Nah, lol, I just Decided to name it as Spellsword, even though thats already in the game. That build seems more appropriate to the name. But thanks anyways.

ok if you wana be a battle mage

Class Breton

sign aprentace (even tho it has 100% weakness to magic breton makes it so it only has 50% and also you get better mana)

Specialization "you can chose if you want willpower or intelect" Willpower(regain mana faster)/Intelect(More mana as you progress) and strenglith(as second)

then destruction conjeration illusion Mysticism Restoration armor blade(or blunt your choice)


the if you want pure mage just pretty much use the same build (as shown above) but for specialization make it intel and will.... if u wana keep the armor and blade(or blunt) thats fine
