It looks pretty nice ingame, alot of the spell effects are now very cool and with havoc physics spell casting is much more fun. I spend like an hour throwing weaker fireballs around the mages guild to blow all the neatly arranged books and items of their shelves while the NPC's just went around their business.

So has anyone been able to make the beginning sequence actually look like it did in the E3 video demo? How do I get those shadows from the ribcage to actually appear? I've tried using all effects on full with 6X AA and also with HDR, I can't figure it out. Is it just not possible?

No they removed the whole soft shadowing system because it was just too much to handle for anything but NASA PC's. They could have made a toggle option for the PC though but they wanted the xbox and pc version identical.

Btw. you can't use HDR and AA together in the options settings but has anyone tried enabling AA through his nvidia/ati game profile and than enabling HDR in the game option settings?

Edit: Did it, and it seems to have worked. I can't tell for sure, but everything looked nice and crisp, but HDR was still quite obviously enabled. I feel sad about not having the soft shadows option though. Maybe in a patch or a mod?

I've completed all the quests for the Fighter's Guild (as well as the Dark Brotherhood Guild long ago) and am lvl 11 now. Love the weapons I currently got, and the shield that I bought for 8k from the market at the Imperial City.

here is an easy way to get good screenshots of your character!!!!!!


go into 3rd person view, then open up the console ( ~ key), type tfc and then move around with the mouse and the WASD keys, you can basically go anywhere with this "UFO camera" as it seems to be called, and if you switch back to first person, all you see is floating arms............you can change weapons, attack, cast spells, do basically everything but move your charater


to return to normal view, just retype tfc into the console

I spent nearly three hours trying to figure out a way to put an apple on someones head for this screenshot.... I found out its not possible, so I just put it on the cabinet behind him and pushed him into position... gives a good illusion if I do say so myself

Yes, post them. I don't know, but I like this game. I want it. And a Pc that can run it good. So for now I get by because of screens.
