[DC] The game crashes

After I've installed DoW, WA and DC in Windows Vista the games crashes often no matter if it's the campaign or skirmish mode. What kind of information do I have to post? When it crashes it's the whole computer crashing and it makes a strange "nnnnn" sound.

Thanks for any help.

Your hardware configuration would be nice.
Also did it crash before vista..?

I have an AMD 4000+ processor, Realtek motherboard, Radeon X800 XT. And no it didn't crash a single time when installed on XP as far as I can remember.

As many people have siad before windows vista isnt the best computer operating system. but i really dont see any problem. If you go to you dc directory can you find a readme called 'warnings' and copy the contents here please. if there isnt one then i havent a clue what to tell you. other then switch back to xp and wait till windows vista ACTUALLY becomes full operational.

i have windows vista and DoW WA and DC and it never crashed on me even though i got vista when it came out

I think I'm going to stay with Vista though I can't play Supreme Commander 100% correct either.

Hmm well this looks fine.
It might be though SS not react well to a new environment. I'd wait for the patch to come out first.
If the problem persists, then try some way to solve it.
