I've used the port checker, and I get

Quote:

Sending udp packet from 6112 to 6112
Received from /66.134.89.225:6112 to 6112 "NAT detected"
Received from /66.134.89.225:52357 to 6500 "udp pass"
Received from /66.134.89.225:52358 to 27900 "udp pass"
Received from /66.134.89.225:52359 to 27901 "udp pass"
Received from /66.134.89.225:52360 to 29910 "udp pass"
Received from /66.134.89.225:52361 to 6667 "tcp pass"
Received from /66.134.89.225:52362 to 28910 "tcp pass"
Received from /66.134.89.225:52363 to 29900 "tcp pass"
Received from /66.134.89.225:52364 to 29901 "tcp pass"
Received from /66.134.89.225:52366 to 29920 "tcp pass"
This means it should be all fine. (apart from NAT, and that's only for AFTER I've joined a game)

Then I go to Multiplayer, I log in, and I click the join game button, and it comes up with a list of games, right?
Then when i try to join one, a window saying Connecting... comes up, and after a long time, it comes up with
Quote:

The host could ot be found, the host may have quit or there may be connection issues, make sure you both have correctly configured connections, firewalls, and routers
Now, I cant figure out what's wrong, because a long long time ago I played online, but I cant remember what I might have changed to make me unable to connect to a game.

Firewall?

Mr. Pedantic July 4th, 2007 05:52 PM

Yeah, I disabled them, both the Windows one and the Router one, no result.

EDIT:
It turns out I can join some games, but not others, for some strange reason, which I havent yet figured out yet.
And I can create games as well, though the fact that nobody joins isnt really my fault...

Junk angel July 5th, 2007 03:41 AM

well yu may create them, but no one can see them..

It sounds like somthing firewally

Mr. Pedantic July 5th, 2007 09:21 AM

Well, Im pretty sure people can see them, like after I created a new game someone joined, but then left

Mr. Pedantic July 6th, 2007 11:00 AM

Yes, but it wouldnt matter in any case, I can join some games, but not the majority. And in any case, I turned off my firewall, and it made no difference.

I used to think I had a problem when I got this message but really it was because they didn't have a good ping/latency towards me :p So maybe changing chat rooms or hosting your own game will help

Mr. Pedantic July 9th, 2007 11:36 AM

Oh. Okay. Thanks.
