Securom Error Message
 
Hi,

I installed Dawn of War and Winter Assault on my PC but when I try and launch the game I get an error message saying

"Conflict with Disc Emulator Software Detected. See SecuROM for more details."

I did so and followed the instructions provided by Securom and sent them the analysis file. I also sent a message to THQ tech support. Securom sent me an message saying I need to contact THQ. I told them I did so, but hadn't received a response. They replied

"Unfortunately we are not allowed to support issues if the publisher is THQ. Please try again to get in contact with them and tell them your problem.
We are really sorry that you're having that issues but the only thing we can do is to forward you."

I sent another message to THQ but still no response.

Does anyone know what the hell is going on with this any how I might be able to resolve it?

Any assitance would be greatly appreciated. I've never had this type of problem with a game before and it's getting quite frustrating.

I had the same problem.
What you need to do is install ALL the patches for DoW, that worked for me

If you do not wish to patch the game
Either disable deamon tools or whatever you have--it could bebasic nero emulation

Or get the newest patch--from 1.50 the game does not require a cd in the mechanic anymore
