DowPro problems?

im not sure if these are what everyone gets but i get lots of No range and a bunch of symbols and numbers after the no range part. These are everywhere, in the names in the army painter in info boxes. Does everyone get it or did i misplace a file or something? plus my heavy bolter is untextured and doesnt shoot. any help would be apprecaited.

I dont get those problems. However i remember hearing that the heavy bolter for imperal guard is buggy or something of the sort.

sounds like somthings up with W40K/local/english/%local file% the files in this folder have lines of stuff (all the help & bios) each corisponds to a no. like $804500456 so if this file is wrong or missing the lines will not come up in the game hit shift ~ on the front menu to bring up the command thingy and have a look for a missing file in that english folder above.

Or check the warnings.log - if a UCS file failed to load, it'll tell you. If a string was missing, it'll tell you (although you should be able to spot the "$xxxxxx No Range" string yourself!)

i remember that i went to army painter and it glitched and the guradian head was missing and screwing up. also in the middle of the game everything froze, then it went back to my desktop. i gave up so i deleted it

oh yeah they also appear in all the original maps for WA.

ok i checked the local englih folder and there is 3 files in it
Dowpro-credits.ucs
dowprodata-sound-speech.sga
W40k.ucs

i also chedk the command thing like you said and it said things like invalid key range then like 28935985239 or something
and it had a bunch of those invalid things so ill try to download it again.

i only just read the thread heading & I dont have dowpro (yet) so i cant check it, ill get it later. What u think IB u got dowpro.

I've not got it, but Invalid Key Range means that either someone is using an ID that doesn't exist in any file or else it does exist, but the file failed to load (generally because of an ID conflict).

If killroy can post the whole warning.log (just copy and paste it into [ code ] tags) then there should be some other warnings before the Invalid Key lines that'll tell us one way or the other.

where is the warning.log you mean the command consle thingy on the front page?

i did a check on another mod and the .ucs file for a mod needs to be in the local folder of the mod (on 1.30 it could be in ether) so what files do you have in %root%/dawn of war/dowpro/local/english if nothing then move Dowpro-credits.ucs into it and that .sga needs to be in dawn of war/dowpro(althow iv never seen a sound .sga for a mod) and see what u get.
and i think w.logs come in %root%/dawn of war.
