new Models?
 

Hey there, iv looked around and cant find any info on the subject, but im wondering if it's possible to either Add a new army with the same attributes as an existing army, and/or if its possible to use different 3D models for an army.
EG. Copy the space marines army so im playing as a new army that looks and acts exactly like the space marines.
And then replace the models with my own artwork so then i might have chickens running around shooting everyone with the space marines rules and what not. but not changing the space marines at all.
I know you can do this in warcraft 3 and im hoping its possible in DoW.

Yes, its possible mate, but by reading your post, you'll uh... how should I say this?...
You also need to create the AI files... Easiest method is copy an existing space marine race's AI and modify it to suit your race.

The site has plenty of tutorials.. Also, for the reply, it would be nice if you gave me some +rep points. Also check my http://forums.filefront.com/dow-modd...king-help.html thread. Ask away if you need help, I check it back everyday. I already did what you said except only the Dark Eldar from soulstorm to Dark Crusade HAHAHAHAHAH!!!

There's going to be alot more to it than that though, on the 3d side. As you can't use the skeleton or animations obviously, you're going to have to create all that from scratch. Including the OE work. Meshing that with the space marines is going to be a major undertaking.. Unless, you just want still non moving chickens?
