Idea for new race mod
 

I don't want to get into this to much as I have no knowledge of modding or how it is done, all I know is that I have an idea for a new race that partially fits in with fluff, what I wnated to know is if there are any modders (orteams of modders) capable and willing to do this, I don't want to publicly annouce the details for my new ace for a few resons:
Not yet complete
I don't want people making huge deals over flaws in my armies fluff
I don't want to delve to far into mod talk as I don't know anything about it
I don't want to possibly look like an idiot on a public forum:(

If you have any interest in this, I can PM you the rundown of my race and what I have figured out now, if multiple people get on board I would be very happy. If multiple people hop on board, I do not care how the work is divided, as long as you all do your fare share, and I will take credit for only the original idea, if you can get back to me on this I would appreciate it:)

making a race is really big job and no one will do this and if you want to do this by your self you have to work hard, hard,hard and hard, you know what i mean ;)

Oh well, guess I may have underestimated the complexities of it:(, though if there are any mod teams out there who are bored and want to make a race, I have one:)

I have to agree, there have been so many make this race, make that race mod proposals here over the time I'm here it's starting to get almost tiring.

A proposal like - I wish to learn, the creating a new race as an endresult - who can help? - would be fine. The problem is, everyone expects their ideas to be god given somehow.

I do not think my idea is god given, I was wondering if there was any modders with nothing to do who felt like doing it, certainly do not think my idea is terrific and I apologize for this being a "generic" topic, there is no way for me to have known that as this is my first time looking at this section of the forum, if somebody is actually willing to teach to teach me how to mod, I would like that very much, but at the current time, I was wondering if there was anybody who felt up to the task, seeing as there isn't, I suppose I can attempt to do it myself if I am taught how to:Puzzled:

Really, I mean, the first thing you could do sage, is to at least give us a look at your idea. Because nobody is interested in a mystery mod. Another is that mods take time, and cannot be just whipped up in a couple days, It takes months to do, sometimes even years, even with huge teams working on it. It also costs $$$ to get the programs necessary to do a mod. You need the mod tools, which are free, but you also, depending on how far you wanna go, will need 3ds max or a similar program to make models, or simply make hybrids! That'll run you $800 American right there. Otherwise you're crossing your fingers on BitTorrent or Limewire praying it works when you download it, So far, this method has not been kind to me, as the person who posted the file I downloaded did not include that their program was not vista compatible.

So anyway, asking for people to teach you modding is a much faster, humbler, and overall easier approach, because if you do the mod yourself, you always get the results you want. Plus you will get a big feeling of satisfaction in your work. and isnt that what it's all about?

Yes, I will look at those tutorials and hopefully learn, if not, I may actually post the ideas etc. for them when i have it planned out, then people will probably be mroe interested, and if that fails, oh well=p
